Does this
sound like you? “I love vegetables but I
can’t seem to find the time to prepare them”.
If so, have
I got some ideas for you!
Fortunately,
most grocery stores carry prepared veggies.
Ideas: Lunch
and daytime snacks: Buy a bag
of baby carrots. Throw some in a small
container and take with your lunch.
Buy
prewashed chopped lettuce- throw some on your sandwich.
You might
also be able to find celery sticks already washed and chopped.
Ideas: Dinner
Again, buy
bagged prewashed chopped lettuce or spinach.
Throw together a salad with shredded carrots (yup, buy them shredded),
sliced mushrooms, grape or cherry tomatoes, radishes (you do just need to wash
and slice these- come on, one thing!) or cucumbers (also requiring a little
peeling/slicing).
Microwave
some frozen veggies to go with your dinner- endless possibilities there- just
try to stay away from buttery/creamed sauces, just stick to the veggies
themselves.
When you
cook a breakfast….: cook some spinach
with your eggs- just throw it in the pan and saute’, or add pre-chopped fresh or
frozen broccoli!
So, what’s
your excuse again?
