![]() Hello all. When you have a recipe that calls for breadcrumbs wouldn't you rather have your own homemade ones? Many of the pre-prepared breadcrumbs you would buy at the store are very high in sodium and hydrogenated oils, all stuff we don't need! Hate those "heels" of your whole wheat bread, or have any stale bread? Just stick them in the freezer. When you are ready, toast them, then crumble them up and stick them in a freezer bag so you have them on hand when you need them. Plus, you'll save money and have some healthier bread crumbs to boot (if you use a whole grain bread for your crumbs)! Enjoy! |
