Break the afternoon slump

Feeling lethargic around 4-4:30?  Break the afternoon slump with a handful of nuts.  The protein and fat will give you some needed energy and keep you feeling full and satisfied until dinner.  Plus some research has shown that a handful of nuts can help to prevent you from overeating at your next meal.  In addition, they have beneficial fats that can help to improve your cholesterol numbers.

But remember, keep it to a handful (or about 1/4 cup, or for almonds, keep it to about 20)!

Enjoy!

Hi, Ai! I love nuts and eat them regularly--usually almonds--and funny enough, usually mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Glad to hear they are great to beat slumps, because the only other thing that works for me is naps!
